Fall of 2003. A skinny freshman boy named Matt works up the nerve to go over and introduce himself to a group of kids just so he can meet one particular girl named Andrea.
11 years later, Andrea and Matt went on their first date.
During those 11 years, Matt grew up to be a math teacher, Andrea grew up to be a chiropractor.
Matt was in Arizona preparing to make the move from Colorado to Phoenix. Matt and Andrea got together and went to the State Fair. At the fair photo booth, they were trying to come up with a 4th photo when Matt suggested “how about our first kiss.” Andrea like the idea, and in her own words “put the coins in the machine pretty quick.”
Both of them knew after their first date that they were the right ones for each other. Matt proposed to Andrea when she came out to Colorado for a visit.
In a simple, DIY wedding, Andrea and Matt were married on October 17, 2015.
In an inspired moment of hopeless romanticism, Matt placed a letter in this box for Andrea to read as she got ready for the wedding.
Andrea on Matt… “He is an iron man.”
“the only person that can calm me down.”
Andrea also admits that Matt IS the better Monopoly player.
The handsome Groom
Matt on Andrea “Andrea always thinks ahead…”
“She is intelligent…”
“She is determined.

Andrea and Matt…your wedding was lovely. Very honored to have photographed your beautiful day. I wish you long life and happiness. Enjoy watching those Cardinal games together.
Vendors and such…
Although essentially a DIY wedding, there were a few outside vendors that made the day special.
CC Sweet Sensations baked the Wedding Cake and the Groom’s cake.
Joanie Marie’s Forever Flowers provided the ceramic flowers. No bouquet toss, but a memory that will last forever.
Driving the reception frivolity was The DJ For You
The sweet ride was courtesy of Southwest Limo..
Arizona Rentals provided the tables and chairs.
This blog eventually became infused with Beatles love song references…”The Long and Winding Road” found it’s way into the title. The lyrics “One sweet dream….” are from the song “You Never Give Me Your Money”
Absolutely beautiful pictures.
Thank you.
